Surviving

If ever there was a testament to how amazing my husband is, it has been/will be this month.  I am pretty much going non-stop right now between teaching, Kodaly homework, Kindermusik homework, and various and sundry other obligations that keep me in McKinney or otherwise away from home.  Not to mention that the last couple of weeks (and unfortunately, most likely the next couple of weeks until school lets out) have left me exhausted at the end of every day.  Kids (and fellow teachers) are not pleasant people to be around this time of year.  Everyone is anxious and antsy anticipating summer vacation and what changes may come in the next school year.  It brings out the worst in people and it's enough to make even the most patient person go crazy.

It certainly would be enough to make me go crazy, were it not for my sweet Brandon.  When I come home, totally exhausted knowing that I still face a mountain of homework, I don't have to worry about the house, the puppy, the yard, the garden, or dinner.  Since his schedule isn't quite as full right now, Brandon has been busy taking care of things here; leaving me time to rest, spend time with him and Gizmo, and make a dent in the mountain of homework I must finish by the end of this month.  I do not know how I ever survived without him, but I know that because of him, I am and will continue to survive this crazy month of May.
